Siran Mukerji, a Jawahar Lal Nehru scholar for Doctoral studies in Human Resource Development, has Masters in Distance Education and Public Administration. She has been International Research Fellow of Open University Business School (2009), Open University (UK). At Arab Open University Saudi Arabia, she was a faculty member in Business Administration. She is one of the Editors-in-Chief of International Journal of Technology and Educational Marketing and Author/Editor of Teaching Case books on Innovations in Educational Marketing, Interactive Technology Environments, Technology Enhanced Learning, Transnational Learning & Technologically enabled Environments, and Technological Adaptability and Transnational Learning. She has contributed articles in standard national and international journals and presented papers in national and international conferences. Dr. Mukerji is a member of review committees for numerous international conferences and journals. Her research interests include Performance Management and HRM in Open and Distance Learning institutions. As Deputy Director in IGNOU (India), she is responsible for student recruitment and related support services management.


Purnendu Tripathi, an International Research Fellow (2009) of Open University Business School (OUBS) at Open University (UK), has a Ph.D in Management. At Arab Open University (AOU) Saudi Arabia, as a faculty member in Business Administration, he was faculty mentor, programme and course coordinator entrusted with the responsibility of training and development of the faculty members teaching in open and distance learning (ODL) environment, besides his own teaching and research in ODL. Currently, he is serving as one of the Editors-in-Chief of International Journal of Technology and Educational Marketing (IJTEM). He has authored/edited five Teaching Case books on Innovations in Educational Marketing, Interactive Technology Environments, Technology Enhanced Learning, Transnational Learning & Technologically enabled Environments, and Technological Adaptability and Transnational Learning. His current research interests include Higher Education Management, Higher Education Marketing, and Academic Program Life Cycle (APLC). LECCION 9. GUIAS DOCENTES COMO INNOVACIÓN CURRICULAR, por Olga María Alegre de la Rosa y Luis Miguel Villar Angulo

ELIJA SU ESTRATEGIA PARA CONSTRUIR UNA GUÍA DOCENTE DE TITULACIÓN O MATERIA INNOVADORA




La redacción de un diario de la práctica de una materia (también considerado como autoinforme) tiene gran aceptación entre profesionales y larga tradición histórica por su carácter descriptivo. 

Un diario es un resumen de los acontecimientos e interacciones acaecidos cotidianamente en una clase de un grupo y de una materia. Otra modalidad de trabajo entre colegas de distintos grupos de una materia es el diario de incidentes críticos que está más enfocado y estructurado, en donde se documentan experiencias curriculares seleccionadas, que puede tener la siguiente estructura:

  • resumen,
  • • reseña de las cuestiones generadas por un hecho o suceso,
  • • lista de palabras obtenidas de la práctica,
  • • reacciones subjetivas a un incidente, y
  • •descripción de lo que han aprendido los estudiantes, y cómo se modificaron sus respuestas.

Su mirada a la realidad de una situación o fenómeno debe ser como la de un entomólogo, y hacernos grande lo que es un incidente (cosa que ocurre en el desarrollo de un asunto, un relato, una conversación). Invita con ello a la reflexión porque requiere pausas, ciclos, relectura y reescritura, captando el proceso cognoscitivo en un producto que se puede reexaminar.

La metáfora es una construcción humana creada para nombrar, categorizar y dar nuevos significados a los acontecimientos de la vida, y se sitúa en la fase de información/explicación del ciclo reflexivo. 


La mirada microscópica de la realidad de una enseñanza utilizando metáforas permite establecer discrepancias entre lo observado y lo esperado; hace explícitos los significados y valores plurales de una situación de clase, y crea nuevas comprensiones de una situación. Por ejemplo: considerar que la comprensión de las nuevas tecnologías en la investigación del medio ambiente (el Global Positioning System (GPS) o la teledetección) es una forma de alcanzar la cima de una montaña.

Sombreado y entrevista. El sombreado de un colega acompañado de entrevistas reflexivas es un proceso de seguimiento de las actividades que hace un compañero en las distintas funciones de diseño e implantación de una guía docente de titulación, mientras que otro colega toma notas descriptivas de las acciones cognoscitivas (diseño) y conductuales (cumplimentar protocolos, aplicaciones, etcétera) que realiza. 

Este proceso es reversible, por lo cual puede ser una estrategia diádica dentro de un departamento (proceso de socialización de pares). Como tal, se puede clasificar en la fase de confrontación de un ciclo reflexivo (comunicación del conocimiento explícito de dos profesores).

La reconstrucción de la enseñanza es una fase del ciclo reflexivo que consiste en asomarse a los adentros de uno mismo. Es una nueva prosa de redacción de una guía docente de titulación donde uno internaliza el conocimiento explícito de una guía docente de titulación (ensimismamiento con el que uno se deleita mirando en la forma de su conocimiento tácito). 

Este nuevo conocimiento personal es la forma en que uno cambia los conocimientos declarativos, procedimentales y axiológicos, y hace una mixtura de ellos que valora con nuevos nombres. 

Una técnica de esta fase del ciclo reflexivo es la catalogación de los cambios de mejora (no para cuantificarlos sino para cantarlos como insinuaciones o sugerencias o intersticios que han captado o iluminado nuevas luces de aprendizaje) con auxilio de un mentor, asesor o colega que actúa de facilitador.


NO SE OLVIDE DE LA COMPETENCIA REFLEXIVA PARA CONSTRUIR UNA GUÍA DOCENTE DE TITULACIÓN


Los irlandeses Wilson, Walsh y Kirby (2007: 13), tras investigar la reflexión en estudiantes de asistencia social, indicaron que tenían los siguientes estilos de aprendizaje:
  • reflexivo,
  • pragmático,
  • teórico,
  • activista.

LA INVESTIGACIÓN ACCIÓN: UN MÉTODO COOPERATIVO DE REFLEXIÓN

El austriaco Schratz (1993) ha probado el método de la investigación acción para promover la profesionalidad en el cuerpo docente universitario de la Universidad de Innsbruck. Inspirado en McTaggart (1991), esquematizó los principios para realizar una investigación acción participativa (pp. 115-116):
  • Identificación del proyecto individual y colectivo.
  • Cambio y estudio del discurso, práctica, y organización social - la distribución del poder.
  • Cambio de cultura de grupos de trabajo, instituciones, y sociedad.
  • Acción y reflexión.
  • Unificación del proyecto intelectual y práctico.
  • Producción de conocimiento.
  • Compromiso con la política de investigación acción.
  • Recursos metodológicos.
  • Creación de una teoría de trabajo.

ESTRATEGIAS PARA ESTIMULAR EL PENSAMIENTO EN FUTUROS PROFESIONALES

Los chinos Lim, Cheng, Lam y Ngan (2003) han utilizado mapas semánticos o conceptuales para desarrollar habilidades cognoscitivas y para evaluar a estudiantes en formación del título de Maestro en Educación Infantil.

La evaluación de los mapas se basó en cuatro criterios, que seguían ideas de Novak y Gowin (1984)  (p. 62):
  • Claridad.
  • Relevancia.
  • Integración y organización.
  • Creatividad.
